The Bootstraps is a partnership of two musicians dedicated to the premise that if you love what you do, and you do it well by way of blood, sweat, and tears, the love of the music will shine through.

From the band’s inception, the duo decided to take all that they learned throughout their individual and combined musical endeavors and apply it to everything they do.

Johnny Larkin (lead vocals, harmonica, percussion) reveals his many musical influences through several instruments ranging from acoustic and electric guitars, to crate style and slap-top cajons, to his most accomplished mode of musical expression, the harmonica – also known as the mouth ‘harp’. He is a dedicated performer of rock, blues, metal, and fusion styles that blend into a mix of tone and feel that come alive on stage.

Scott Hill (lead guitar and vocals) expresses diverse musical influences from rock, metal, blues, jazz, and outlaw country into his signature style. He merges these musical cultures into a brew of explosive leads and ethereal rhythmic grooves through the guitar, creating a canvas of sound that flows through the music. He also lends his voice to lead and background vocals to round out the mix.
