April 12th THE QUEERS, THE USUALS & THE TURDLES NEW ADDRESS: LEGIT DOGS & ICE 322 S Randall Rd, South Elgin, IL 60177 The Queers are a punk rock band who’ve been delivering fast, loud, snotty music since the early 1980s, playing the role of beer-sodden teenagers even as they’ve grown into middle age. Their tunes are recognizable for their no-frills pogo punk and purposely puerile lyrics that flaunt bad taste at every turn, sometimes bordering on sexism and homophobia. The Queers first locked down their trademark style with 1993’s Love Songs for the Retarded, they hit peak velocity on 1996’s Don’t Back Down and 2002’s Pleasant Screams, and showed off their influences on 2021’s all-covers set Reverberation.

Michael Meyers is a Chicago based stand up comedian. He has been a staple of the Chicago comedy scene for nearly a decade, performing regularly on its many wonderful stages. While not performing in Chicago, he has toured throughout the country. Meyers has been a featured performer at the Limestone Comedy Festival along with sharing the stage with some of comedy's finest such as The Sklar Brothers, Phil Hanley, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Matt Braunger and more. In October 2023 he released an hour long special called "Michael Meyers Performs Comedy for Real People" on YouTube to acclaim. His soothing voice and dry delivery is the perfect compliment to his slice of life observations..

The Captain Midnight Band is the world’s only known purveyor of “Waterbed Rock & Roll”.
Crunchy Rock Guitar Riffs, Thick R&B Grooves, and Soaring Vocal Harmonies combine to create a unique soundscape for jammy anthems, sci-fi imagery, and humorous situations.

The group’s diverse appeal has resulted in club, theater, and festival dates with such acts as Dark Star Orchestra, String Cheese Incident, moe, Goose, Twiddle, Spafford, Billy Strings, Karl Denson, TAUK, and too many other weirdos to list.

Flattering comparisons to genre-defying acts such as P-Funk, Frank Zappa, and Ween are evident in the live show, where a genuine, energetic exchange occurs between band, fans, and whoever is lucky enough to be in the vicinity.
